As part of its continuing series to showcase candidates in the 2026 election, the 14th Representative District Democratic Committee will feature Attorney General Kathy Jennings at its next meeting Aug. 10. The two-term incumbent will discuss her re-election campaign and mission to “continue defending Delaware and the Constitution.”
The program will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Dutch treat dinner, followed by remarks from Jennings at 6:00, and committee business at 6:30. All registered Democrats are welcome to participate, with the location of the event provided to those who send an RSVP by Aug. 9

Co-chair of the Democratic Attorneys General Association, Jennings has joined 23 other attorneys general in filing more than 100 lawsuits to oppose actions by the current administration. The state’s top prosecutor has already helped win more than 80 percent of the cases, including injunctions against executive orders to dismantle federal agencies, end birthright citizenship, restrict medical dollars and freeze federal funding for a number of programs in Delaware.
Jennings is being challenged in the Democratic primary by Dwayne Bensing, former legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union in Delaware, and Patty Rickman, a small business owner and advocate for survivors of domestic abuse.
