Due to pending litigation, DELAWARE’S REGISTERED PERMANENT ABSENTEE VOTERS MUST TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO ENSURE THEY RECEIVE AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IN THE 2026 GENERAL ELECTION.
The Department of Elections is mailing a notice to all registered permanent absentee voters informing them they must submit a new request for an absentee ballot. Permanent absentee voters may return the completed form as instructed in the notice.
Such voters may also:
—Request an absentee ballot for the general election at https://ivote.de.gov/VoterView.
—Download, print, and mail a request for an absentee ballot, at https://elections.delaware.gov/voter/absentee/pdfs/absentee_ballot_application.pdf
—Complete a request form at a county Department of Elections office
The deadline to submit a request for a general election absentee ballot is October 30, 2026.
