As the local arm of the Delaware Democratic Party we represent Rehoboth, Dewey & southern Lewes. We meet on the 2nd Wed. of the month
Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, D-Rehoboth Beach, will provide a wrap-up of this year’s legislative session at the next meeting of the 14th Representative District Democratic Committee July 8. The program will begin at 5 p.m. with a Dutch-treat dinner at Iron Hill Brewery, on Route 1 north of Rehoboth Beach, followed by comments from Snyder-Hall and committee business at 6:00.
Now in her first term representing the 14th district, Snyder-Hall has been an active legislator, sponsoring or co-sponsoring over 120 pieces of legislation. She’s taken the lead on bills to increase the grace period for seniors to change their Medicare Supplement coverage; ensure long-term care facilities comply with state non-discrimination law; allow Sussex County to impose impact fees on new development to pay for schools; and launch a study on better understanding into the challenges faced by moderate income families.
“The General Assembly has passed a tremendous number of bills in this first year of the legislative session, and many should have a tremendous impact on residents in RD 14,” said Snyder-Hall, whose district covers Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach and parts of Lewes. “I love being at the table when laws are made.”
The previous Executive Director of Common Cause Delaware, Snyder-Hall is a former professor of political theory, who served on the faculty of George Mason University for 12 years and led the American Democracy Project programming on campus. She holds a PhD in political science from Rutgers University and a B.A. cum laude in psychology from Smith College. On June 2, she filed to run for re-election in 2026, the first day that candidates could file in Sussex County.
The 14th RD Democratic Committee is a nonprofit political organization that welcomes all registered Democrats to its meetings. Those planning to attend the July 8 gathering—on a rare Tuesday this month—should RSVP by July 6 to c.fruchtman@comcast.net. For further information: 14thRDDelDems.com.

Governor Matt Meyer signed an executive order June 20, 2025 at CAMP Rehoboth that adds further protections for gender-affirming care providers and patients.
The executive order aims to protect the personal data of gender-affirming care providers and patients, as well as safeguard healthcare professionals against disciplinary violations for providing this care.
