As the local arm of the Delaware Democratic Party we represent Rehoboth, Dewey & southern Lewes. We meet on the 2nd Wed. of the month
Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall filed for re-election to the Delaware State House on June 2 at the Sussex County Board of Elections. She currently represents RD14, which includes Rehoboth, Dewey, and parts of Lewes. Although the election will not be until 2026, June 2 was the first day that candidates were allowed to file in Sussex County.
“I am excited to file for re-election because I reall is a nonprofit political organization says Snyder-Hall. “I pride myself on responding personally to every constituent email I receive, and we have a terrific staff to help with constituent services. I also love being at the table when laws are made that affect the entire state.”
When Snyder-Hall ran for election in 2024, her platform focused on securing reproductive freedom, strengthening democracy, and improving the quality of life in Coastal Sussex in terms of education, healthcare, and the environment. “Over the last five months I have had the opportunity to co-sponsor a range of bills on the very issues I campaigned on, as well as a host of others,” says Snyder-Hall. “I’ve learned a lot about how to operate in Dover, and I have nurtured strong relationships there. I will continue to work hard through the remainder of my first term and hope to earn the opportunity for a second term.”
In 2024, Snyder-Hall defeated two primary opponents in September and then went on to win in the General Election by 10 points, winning every electoral district except for one. She was endorsed by the Delaware State Education Association, the Delaware Public Employees Council 81, and the Delaware Stonewall PAC, among others.
Snyder-Hall says, “I was particularly proud of the DSEA endorsement because I was a classroom teacher for 20 years, and so having the support of educators means a lot to me.”

Sincerely,
Claire

Rehoboth Beach, Del., June 1, 2025 – Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings will be the featured speaker at the June 11 meeting of the 14th Representative District Democratic Committee. The state’s top prosecutor, who has joined other attorneys general to oppose actions by the Trump administration, will discuss her efforts to protect the rights and liberties of citizens in Delaware and across the U.S.
The program will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Dutch-treat dinner at Iron Hill Brewery, on Route 1 north of Rehoboth Beach, followed by Jennings’ remarks at 6:00, and committee business at 6:30. All registered Democrats are welcome to participate in 14th RD meetings.
Jennings, who recently announced her campaign for a third term in 2026, has already helped win injunctions against executive orders to dismantle federal agencies, end birthright citizenship, restrict medical dollars and freeze federal funding for a number of programs in Delaware. She is currently working to restore the $10 billion a year in federal money previously allocated to the state—money that, in her words, “really affects the everyday lives of Delawareans.”
The 14th RD Democratic Committee is a nonprofit political organization representing Democrats who live in Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach. Those planning to attend the June 11 meeting should RSVP by June 9 to c.fruchtman@comcast.net. For further information: 14thRDDelDems.com.
